eCOGRA

eCOGRA (eCommerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance) is a London-based independent testing agency that audits online casinos and their software. Founded in 2003, they test for game fairness (verifying RNG outputs and actual RTP against declared RTP), responsible gambling practices, and player protection standards.

A casino displaying the eCOGRA "Safe and Fair" seal means they've been audited and met the agency's standards. eCOGRA also publishes monthly payout reports for verified casinos, showing the actual RTP of their games over the previous month. These reports are publicly available on eCOGRA's website and they're worth checking if you want to verify that a casino's games are performing as advertised.

eCOGRA also handles player complaints as a dispute resolution service. If you have an unresolved issue with an eCOGRA-certified casino, you can file a complaint through their website and they'll mediate. This doesn't guarantee a favourable outcome, but it adds a layer of accountability that uncertified casinos simply don't have.
