RNG Certification

RNG certification is the process by which an independent testing lab examines and verifies that an online casino's Random Number Generator produces outcomes that are statistically random and unpredictable. The major testing labs are eCOGRA, iTech Labs, GLI (Gaming Laboratories International), and BMM Testlabs.

The testing involves running millions of simulated rounds and analysing the results against mathematical benchmarks. Are the outcomes evenly distributed? Do patterns emerge where there shouldn't be any? Does the actual RTP match the theoretical RTP within acceptable statistical margins? If the software passes, the lab issues a certificate that the casino can display.

Certification is typically required for licensing in regulated markets. An MGA-licensed casino, for example, must use game software that has been tested and certified by an approved lab. Curacao's requirements are less rigorous. If you want to verify that a specific casino's games are certified, look for testing lab seals in the footer. Most labs maintain public databases where you can search for certified operators.
