Provably Fair

Provably fair is a verification system, primarily used by crypto casinos, that lets you independently confirm that a game's outcome was determined fairly before you placed your bet. It works through cryptographic hashing: the casino generates a server seed (hidden from you) and you provide a client seed (or accept a random one). The game result is derived from these seeds, and after the round, you can verify the math yourself.

The practical difference from traditional RNG: with provably fair, you don't need to trust the casino or a third-party auditor. You can check every single result yourself using the revealed seeds and a hash calculator. The casino can't change the outcome after you've bet because the server seed was committed (as a hash) before the round started.

Provably fair is a genuine innovation, but it only covers the randomness of the outcome. It doesn't verify that the game's payout table is fair or that the RTP is what the casino claims. A provably fair game can still have a terrible house edge. Verification of randomness and verification of fairness are two different things.
