Cashback Calculator

Cashback sounds great on paper, but the real question is how much of it you actually get to keep. This tool breaks the numbers down so you know exactly what a cashback deal is worth before you play.

0 = no wagering (real cash), 1x = bet once, etc.

How Casino Cashback Really Works

Most players see a "10% cashback" banner and assume they get a straight 10% refund on their losses. Sometimes that is exactly how it works, and those are the deals worth jumping on. But more often than not, the cashback comes with a wagering requirement attached, which means you need to bet it a certain number of times before you can withdraw anything. That wagering eats into the value, and depending on the game you play, it can eat quite a lot of it.

The math behind it is simple but easy to overlook. If a casino gives you $50 in cashback with a 5x wagering requirement, you need to place $250 in bets before that money becomes withdrawable. Playing slots at a 4% house edge means you can expect to lose around $10 of that $50 just clearing the requirement. Your "$50 cashback" is really worth about $40. On a game like blackjack the loss during wagering is smaller, but many casinos restrict cashback wagering to slots only.

A cashback offer with zero wagering is always the best deal, no question. After that, anything under 3x wagering is still solid. Once you get above 10x, the cashback starts to look more like a regular bonus where the house edge chips away at most of the value before you ever see a withdrawal. This calculator does that math for you so you can compare offers quickly and figure out which ones are actually putting money back in your pocket.
