Wagering Requirement

A wagering requirement is the total amount you need to bet before bonus funds or winnings become withdrawable cash. If a casino gives you a $100 bonus with a 35x wagering requirement, you need to place $3,500 worth of bets before you can take any of it out. Not win $3,500. Bet $3,500. Big difference.

Wagering requirements range from 1x (practically free money, extremely rare) to 70x (borderline impossible to complete profitably). Anything under 25x is good. 25x to 35x is average. Above 40x and the math starts working heavily against you because the house edge eats into your balance with every round you play.

Watch out for whether the requirement applies to the bonus only or to the bonus plus the deposit. "35x bonus" on a $100 bonus means $3,500 in wagers. "35x (bonus + deposit)" on a $100 deposit with a $100 match means $7,000 in wagers. That's double the grind for the same bonus. Always read the fine print.
