Tumble Feature

A tumble feature (also called cascade, cascading reels, or avalanche) removes winning symbols from the grid after a payout and drops new symbols down to fill the empty spaces. If the new symbols form another winning combination, they pay and the process repeats. Chains can run four, five, sometimes 10 consecutive tumbles on a single spin.

Pragmatic Play's Sweet Bonanza, NetEnt's Gonzo's Quest, and Play'n GO's Rise of Olympus all built their reputations on this mechanic, with multipliers often stacking as tumbles chain. That stacking is where the viral 1,000x clips come from. The feel is the point: a single spin that pays once feels flat, but a single spin that tumbles six times, each chain adding wins and multipliers, feels like a small story played out.
